So I was trying to choose my favorite piece of art at the moment but I couldn't choose in between two. These two pieces are from the same artist. Moonassi is the artist name he have been using since long ago. All drawings are painted using black ink and drawing faces with no expression, no time, place or gender so we can focus on what the character is feeling or thinking.

First piece goes by the name of: BLOW YOUR MIND

When contemplating this drawing I think about imagination and how powerful our minds are.

I consider myself a creative person that's always trying to discover new things. I love to have my own opinions and I'm very proud of my thoughts. 

Second piece: You are SUR-REAL

This one because of the ambiguity of the name "YOU ARE SUR-REAL" and because of what I see it represents something I truly believe in.

I do believe we have two states of consciousness. One is us been aware that we are here on the earth planet living as humans with a body. Second and most important to me us been aware that we are infinite, that we are souls. This makes me wants to develop a connection or a sense of satisfaction with myself and others. All of us are stars from the universe, we are infinite. We are sur-real.

I really feel identified with Moonassi's drawings.

UNIT 7-8

unit 7 helped me to understand the meaning and the use of verbs followed by infinitives or gerunds.

I kind of remembered this from high school but I'm glad we went over it because I got one of them wrong.

Another thing I learned was the correct use of when describing quantity.

Pollution

Pollution is big problem in our society nowadays not just here in Costa Rica but over the world. Pollution is the action of making water, air or land dirty and not safe to use. Because we only have one earth and it's the one where we are living right now I'm going to talk about three solutions.

The first solution and almost the first thing they teach us at school will be to understand the concepts of reduce, reuse and recycle. We all learned this at school but who really practices it?. These three R's are the key to help our planet. We all need to use fewer resources from nature so we can reduce. One easy way to reuse is by donating our stuff. 

Another solution would be if we learn how to conserve energy. Whenever we save energy we are not only saving money but also reducing the demand for oil, natural gases or more. We can start helping by using less hot water when taking a shower. Select the most energy-efficient models when you replace your old appliances.

And third solution is to use public transportation or whenever possible to walk. Nowadays there is a term that people are getting used to and is really helping our air and is carpooling. Carpooling is the sharing of a car journey so that more than one person travels by car. This is very common between co-workers, students, friends and family.

In conclusion these three solutions would help us saving our planet if we practice these. These ways of taking care of our earth are very easy to do. If we start doing this as a habit people would learn from us.

So let's start our fight against pollution and save our world.

How do I spend most of my time?

Spending time it is an activity that we humans do even if we don’t want to.

Most of us say that we are always working or studying but how do we really spend most of our time?. With my answer I’m going to try to be very detailed about my daily activities.

Belive it or not I spend most of  my time listening to music of course while doing another thing. For example when I’m going to work on my way I’m listening to music. When it is time for lunch. When going back home. When doing homework or whenever I’m with someone else. Basically I could say I listen to music around 5 hours per day.

Broadly speaking people work 8 hpurs per day but in my case I work less hours. There are days I work between 5 or 6 hours. It does not mean I don’t have to work as hard as the rest of people. I do have goals and metricts to follow everyday. Once I’m finished I’m able to leave my office.

The rest of my time while being awake is for school. Whatever Im doing homework or at my school. I take everyday in between 3 or 4 hours just for my school. And well at night and for my body to rest I sleep around 5 or 6 hours. I would like to have more time for me to sleep but it is not posible because of my responsabilities as a student.

At the end I feel very happy and proud of the way how I spend much of my time because it is for my future as a profesional and to improve as a person.

So ask this time to yourself How do I really spend most of my time?

Be honest with your answer abd user your time for good.

hoax

People are really good at creating hoaxes. The one Im going to talk is about Paul Mccartney the ex Beatle. He came this year here to Costa Rica to play his music that means he is alive or well thats what we think.

Beatlemaniacs say, Paul McCartney secretly died in 1966. The story goes that at 5am on Wednesday 9 November 1966, McCartney stormed out of a session for one of their albums, got in to his car, and then crashed and died.  Fans claim the other Beatles covered up his death hiring someone that looked and sang like Paul.

People that bealive this have found hiding clues in their music. Some of them:

"A Day in the Life" song   had the lyrics "He blew his mind out in a car" and the recorded phrase "Paul is dead, miss him, miss him," which becomes evident only when the song is played backward. 

. 

If you use a mirror to bisect the phrase "LONELY HEARTS" that appears on the drum, the phrase "I ONE IX HE ◊ DIE" can be seen. If "I ONE" is 11, and "IX" is the roman numeral 9, then this might be decoded to mean "11 9 HE DIE" (i.e. November 9, He Die).  
  

My personal opinion is that he could be alive or death that we will never know, i went to his concert because i used to like The Beatles a lot and Paul is not my favorite, actually its the one that i find annoying so I don't think to much about this history.

I am going to tell you about a little vacations i took this year. I went to Mexico City this june 02. 

The reason of my trip there was to see my favorite band performing: Gorillaz and anothere singers.

I have a really good and close friend that have been living there for 4 years and he told me about these concerts and to get to visit him.Was the first time I was traveling to another contry just by myself.

Once I arrived there we went to the D.F because its an important cultural center that I was really exited to know.

Mexico its very entertaining and beautiful but it suffers from poor air quality.I enjoyed my vacations and learned about Mexican culture. I hope I will be back again.

INDIA

I have always dreamed with visiting India.

It is a country located in South Asia. Indian was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth. Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism are the four major world religions and they were originated there. I have a friend that went last year and he said people are very grateful about what they have and very conscious about their spirituality. My friend is very different from before when talking about good habits and attitudes, he learned it while we was spending his time there. Now he is very positive, pray for good things to happened and what is the best is that he believes in himself. Im very interested about Indian art and architecture. People said you need at least a month for you to enjoy and really get to know this beautiful country.

I consider myself as a single-minded person, I'm 100% sure of who I would like to become: a Multimedia Producer. I already have a Graphic Design Certificate from INA.
I am very creative and i love art. I love going to art expositions, concerts, mountains and to eat out in different restaurants.
I do have a job in a call center, i've been working in call centers since I'm 18. This let me enjoy things I like that sometimes parents can not afford, and also I can help them out.
